Although we definitely encourage our visitors to make new friends and enjoy the company of other like minded wildlife lovers, we also know that some of you will prefer to sit quietly and enjoy our hide on your own. If that is the case, make sure you book our exclusive option. You will often find that you will be the only person booked for any given day, but that isn’t guaranteed.

Double bookings are a great way to spend quality time with your friends or family. These bookings are automatically exclusive and so you won’t be joined by any other visitors during your day.

Our triple booking is perfect for friends and family groups. With multiple sitting positions and 1 low lying position, each of you will have the chance to capture some fantastic moments.

If you are new to wildlife photography you could definitely benefit from learning the basics whilst at the hide. From moving to manual settings from auto, composition and lighting, Andy can be on hand to guide you through. Or perhaps you’d like some company with a fellow wildlife photographer and an extra pair of eyes to help capture those unique shots.

Are you keen on building your editing skills? Do you want your photos to really stand out on social media or when they go to print? If so, make sure you book our additional 2hr editing session, at the hide, with Andy. The workshop will begin at 3pm once the day is finished. Would you like to treat a friend or family member to a day at the hide for Christmas or a Birthday? If so, just choose the booking option you’d prefer and email us HERE. We will send you an e-voucher for you to print or forward on.
Parking is onsite at Leeds Castle. You will be met at the main reception and walked through the grounds to the hide. If you have any mobility concerns, transport from reception to the hide can be arranged.
The Pond & Perch Castle Hide is located at Leeds Castle, Kent just minutes from Junction 8 of the M20, not far from Maidstone. Directions to the correct Castle entrance will be provided on booking.
The Castle Hide is open by appointment only. As a general rule this will be weekdays from 8am to 3pm. But please do message us with your perfect date and time and we will do all we can to accommodate you. At 3pm you will have the opportunity to stay in the grounds and explore futher.
Although we have made huge efforts to make sure your stay is safe, secure and comfortable we cannot be held responsible for any damage to any personal items or equipment when at the hide. We’d recommend that you have your own insurance to cover accident, injury, theft and damage to personal items and equipment if you want to be completely covered for all eventualities on the day.
