THE CASTLE HIDE at Leeds Castle
Leeds Castle, 900 years of history and now home to our very own wildlife hide. The new hide boasts a 180 degree viewing space taking in naturally setup perches, wildlife pools and low level photography opportunities. Surrounded by trees, there are also plenty of opportunities for species spotting beyond the hide.
Set in a secluded area of the castle grounds, we have been joined by multiple species of woodland bird, rabbits, foxes and voles.
Your day will begin with a priceless, private, out of hours walk around of the estate with Andy (and no public!) discussing the local flora and fauna, this can be with cameras to get some early shots out in the field or just a relaxing stroll with a pair of binoculars.
You will then make your way to the hide where you will be based for the day, but as you have access to the wider grounds, you are welcome to come and go as you please should you want to stretch your legs or perhaps grab a coffee or lunch.
The hide is fully equipped with all you’ll need to see abundant wildlife on the day, from gimbal heads and bean bags for photographers, to binoculars for bird watchers. It’s comfortable, warm, dry and cosy and the perfect base for a day packed with nature.
Your day will start at 8am and finish in the hide at 3pm where you will be able to continue your experience and explore the grounds until you’re ready to leave!
